Summertime Strawberry Latte
Share
The perfect summer staple for your at-home coffee dates with the girls.
I’m not a big coffee drinker (unless it’s decaf), so when I do opt for a coffee, I make sure it tastes good. Let me tell you, this tastes like a drink straight from Starbucks – it may convert me to a regular coffee girlie!
What You’ll Need:
Strawberry Syrup:
- 1 cup strawberries
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
Strawberry Latte:
- 3 tablespoons strawberry syrup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 shots espresso, slightly cooled
- Ice (optional)
Here’s How To Make It:
Start with the Strawberry Syrup
Toss the strawberries, sugar, and water into a saucepan. Cook it all together for about 10-15 minutes until the strawberries break down and the mixture gets nice and thick. Strain it through a fine mesh sieve and let it cool.
Brew the Espresso
While your syrup is cooling, make 2 shots of espresso. You can use an espresso machine or even a strong coffee concentrate. Let the espresso cool a bit.
Make the Latte
Grab your favorite mug (I used our Saturday Mug In Strawberry Sweetheart) and pour in 3 tablespoons of your homemade strawberry syrup. Add some ice if you want (it’s optional, but I love it cold!). Then, pour in the milk and slightly cooled espresso.
Stir and Enjoy
Give it a good stir and enjoy! 🍓☕
